Connecting the Ethernet and Trigger Cables
This chapter describes how to connect the Agilent 1200 Series LC devices to the data system
computer and how to make the contact closure connection between the LC stack and a
Thermo Scientific mass spectrometer.
Ethernet Communication Kit
To connect an Agilent 1200 Series LC to your Thermo Scientific MS detector, you must have
the following parts:
• The parts supplied in the Ethernet Communication kit (see Table 4 )
• An Agilent LAN card, model number G1369A, unless your Agilent LC system contains a
device with an on-board LAN communication interface (see Figure 20)
• A BCD board supplied by Agilent for contact closure
