Troubleshooting Guidelines
Troubleshooting LAN Interfaces
Example: Cache and Page Refresh (Internet Explorer 5.0 and above)
Example steps for cache and page refresh for Internet Explorer versions 5.0
and above follow. The steps are for Windows 2000. Modify the steps as
required for other operating systems.
1 Click
Start | Settings | Control Panel to display the Control Panel
2 From Control Panel, double-click Internet Options to display the
Internet Properties dialog box.
3 From the
Internet Properties dialog box, select the General tab
4 Under
Temporary Internet files, click the Settings... button to display
the
Settings dialog box
5 Under
Check for newer versions of stored pages:, click the “Every visit
to the page”
radio button (“Automatically” should be OK for Internet
Explorer 5.5 and >)
6 Click the
OK button on the Settings page to accept the change
7 Click the
OK button on the bottom of the Internet Options dialog box to
make changes active
NOTE
If the previous steps to not resolve the problem, you may want to clear
the cache. To do this, repeat steps 1 - 4. Then, in the
Temporary Internet
files, click the Delete Files... button to display the Delete Files dialog box.
Click
OK to delete the files and clear the cache.
