Setting Up ProComm Revision 2.4.3 on your PC
ProComm
is a general purpose telecommunications software package
for PC’s with MS-DOS. One of its functions is to provide an RS-232
terminal function on a typical PC.
Running ProComm in MS-DOS (You can use ProComm’s built-in help
function to learn more about setting it up).
1. To access the help and command functions, press the Alt and F10 keys
simultaneously (abbreviated as Alt+F10).
2. Press the space bar to move among the choices for a particular field.
3. Press ENTER to accept the displayed choice.
Setting up the ProComm Software
1. Press Alt+ P to access the LINE SETTINGS window.
2. Enter the number 11. This will automatically set the following:
•Baud rate: 9600
•Parity: None
•Data Bits: 8
•Stop Bits: 1
Selected communications port: COM1 (This may be different on your PC)
