*ESE (Event Status Enable)
The Standard Event Status Enable Register is cleared at power-on. The *RST
and *CLS commands do not change the register.
The *ESE query returns the value of the Standard Event Status Enable Regis-
ter.
Usage:
GPIB only
Command Syntax:
*ESE <mask>
Where:
<mask> ::= 0 to 255
Example: OUTPUT 711;"*ESE 64"
In this example, the *ESE 64 command enables URQ (user request) bit 6 of
the Standard Event Status Enable Register. Therefore, when a front-panel key
is pressed, the ESB (event summary bit) in the Status Byte Register is also
set.
Query Syntax:
*ESE?
Returned Format:
<mask><NL>
Where:
<mask> ::= 0 to 255 (integerNR1 format)
