Programming
The programming instructions in this manual conform to the IEEE 488.2 Stan-
dard Digital Interface for Programmable Instrumentation and to the Standard
Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI). The programming instruc-
tions provide the means of remote control.
Where to begin . . .
• To program the Agilent 86060C-series lightwave switch, it is necessary to add
either an GPIB or RS-232 interface to the rear panel of the switch.
• The programming examples for individual commands in this manual are writ-
ten in HP

BASIC 6.0 for an HP 9000 Series 200/300 Controller.
