Verifying Oscilloscope Performance
To completely test and troubleshoot the oscilloscope, you will need to
fabricate two test accessories:
• The test connectors make it easy to hook the oscilloscope probes to
function generators and measurement equipment with minimum
electrical distortion. These connectors are used in the threshold
and time interval tests.
• The dummy load is used to troubleshoot the power supply. Refer to
“To construct your own dummy load” later in this chapter.
This section explains how to build the test connectors.
To construct test connectors for digital channels
Instructions for HP 54645D
These instructions apply only to the HP 54645D Mixed-Signal Oscilloscope.
The test connectors connect the oscilloscope to the test equipment.
