3.3.4.5 Program K1 FLASHROM
Use this procedure to load the DEC. K1 firmware from a PC into the DEC. K1
FLASHROM. The software to be loaded must reside in the Download directory in
the PC.
NOTE: Prior to programming, the FLASHROM is automatically
erased.
1. Connect your PC to the diagnostic serial port of the system.
2. Turn the system on and allow the boot cycle to complete.
3. Launch the AVDIAG Program from your PC.
4. Under the FLASHROM menu, select Prog DEC. K1 and press ENTER.
5. Select RAW and then the latest DEC. K1 firmware revision.
6. Press ENTER.
A dialog box appears:
The following file has been selected to download to the K1 FlashRom.
Filename
Select Y in the dialog box.
The system erases the DEC. K1 FLASHROM and loads the new K1 soft-
ware. When completed a dialog box appears:
Press any key to continue.
7. Press a key and wait for the system to reset.
