are still listed.
Synchronizing clocks on Windows-based IMPAX systems6.
If the system time on the Application Server and the image server (ASPFTP server) differs, the
authentication tickets provided by the IMPAX Client are rejected by the ASPFTP server and image
retrieval fails. You must configure the IMPAX systems to automatically synchronize their system time
with a common server and remain synchronized.
Note:
Also ensure that the time zone for the computer is set correctly.
The instructions that follow use the synchronization feature built into the operating system. When
configured, Windows Time Service sets and synchronizes the system time with a standard time server.
Allowing time synchronization on a hardened IMPAX system
In IMPAX 6.4, the default hardening security policy blocks UDP on port 123, which is required for time
synchronization. Before setting up time synchronization for IMPAX, complete the following procedure
if you have a hardened IMPAX system that blocks UDP on port 123.
To allow time synchronization on a hardened IMPAX system
1. Open the Windows Administrative Tools and select Local Security Settings.
2. Expand the IP Security Policies on Local Computer option, right-click Impax Server Policy,
and select Properties.
3. Clear the Use Add Wizard checkbox.
4. Click Add.
5. In the New Rule Properties dialog, click Add.
6. Type a name and description for the filter in the appropriate fields. Click Add.
For example, type IMPAX Allow Time Synch in the Name field and Allow time sync over UDP
port 123 in the Description field.
7. On the Address tab of the IP Filter Properties dialog, keep the defaults.
8. Switch to the Protocol tab.
9. From the Select a protocol type list, select UDP and in the To this port field, type 123. Click OK.
10. In the IP Filter list dialog, click OK.
11. In the New Rule Properties dialog, select the new rule and switch to the Filter Action tab.
