Managing the parallel
migration
Certain tasks are performed while both the old and new systems are running in parallel. This permits
a more gradual transition to the new version.
Enabling cluster linking

1.
Cluster linking refers to linking multiple sites so that users can query and retrieve studies from all of
these sites.
To enable cluster linking
1.
On the Setup tab, click Network Management.
2.
Switch to the Configuration tab.
3. From the list at the bottom of the tab, select the station to configure.
4.
Select the Cluster Linking checkbox.
5. Select the options that apply:
When selectedCheckbox
Allows internal queries to generate queries to linked clusters.
Link Internal Queries
Allows external queries from other systems to generate queries to
linked clusters. Note that if a study has been retrieved from an

external linked cluster into the local cluster, then external queries
can see that study.
Allows updates to one cluster to be relayed to the other cluster (for
