Base Station LED Sequences
The following table explains the base station’s light sequences and what they indicate.
Left Center Right Status/Description
Off Off Off The base station is unplugged, or has failed. If the base
station is plugged in and all lights are off, contact your
authorized Apple service provider
On Off On The base station is in self-check mode
On On On The base station is starting up, stage 1
Sequenced flashing, left-to-right The base station is starting up, stage 2
Flashing Flashing Flashing The base station has failed power-on-self test. Contact your
authorized Apple service provider.
Off Flashing

Off The base station is in Soft Reset mode
Off Flashing
quickly
Off The base station is in Forced Reload mode
Off Alternately
flashing

Off The base station is being reset, either updating the
firmware or base station configuration
