REMOVAL Figure A Refer to Figure A for step 1 Step 1. Remove the (4) flange nuts using a 12mm socket and save for reuse. Replace the flange gaskets if they are no longer serviceable.
REMOVAL Figure B Refer to Figure B for step 2 Step 2. Remove the down pipe bracket off the OE down pipes and off the transmission. Page 5 aFepower.
REMOVAL Figure C Refer to Figure C for step 3 Step 3. Remove passenger side steering rack mounting bolt. Loosen the driver side as well. Swing steering rack forward for easier access to turbo connections.
REMOVAL Figure D Refer to Figure D for steps 4-5 Step 4. Remove all four O2 sensors using a 7/8" wrench after marking their location. Step 5. Loosen the V-band clamps at turbo outlets using a 13mm socket. Page 7 aFepower.
REMOVAL Figure E Refer to Figure E for steps 6-7 Step 6. Remove the front down pipe first. Step 7. Remove the rear down pipe.
REMOVAL Figure F Refer to Figure F for step 8 Step 8. The tall heat shield screw will need to be replaced with a shorter 10mm hex head screw. Page 9 aFepower.
INSTALL Figure G Refer to Figure G for steps 9-13 Step 9. Install the new rear down pipe first. Step 10. Assemble the V-band clamp using a 13mm socket, but do not fully tighten at this time. Step 11: Install the front down pipe using the original V-band clamp using a 13mm socket but do not tighten. Step 12: Re-install the OE down pipe bracket to the transmission and aFe down pipes (You may need to rotate to align) and tighten. Step 13: Tighten both V-band clamps.
INSTALL Figure H Refer to Figure H for step 14 Step 14. Reinstall the O2 sensors with anti-seize paste and tighten using a 7/8” wrench. (Note: It may be necessary to add slack to the O2 sensor wire by adjusting the wire harness from under the hood.) Page 11 aFepower.
INSTALL Figure I Refer to Figure I for steps 15 Step 15. The rear flanges can be reconnected using the new gaskets or the originals if still serviceable. The use of anti-seize is recommended on the flange studs.
INSTALL Figure J Refer to Figure J for steps 16-17 Step 16. IMPORTANT; Return the steering rack to its original position and torque to factory specifications. Step 17. Your installation is now complete. Be sure to retighten all connections after approximately 100 miles. Page 13 aFepower.
