MULTIPURPOSE PRIMERS
PRODUCT NUMBERS:
I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Description: Zynolyte Multipurpose Primers are a non-
lifting, high quality primer coating for use on surfaces
where good adhesion is needed before top/nish coat.
This quick dry primer will prepare and seal both porous
and nonporous surfaces, enhancing the quality of any
nish.
Benets: These primers bond extremely well to bare
metal, preventing rust corrosion. Provides adhesion to
bare surfaces in order to present maximum cohesion
with nal top coatings. When used on wood, primers ll
in grain and surface imperfections.
Application: Use as a preparatory measure whenever
a quality nish is desired over metal or wood. Can be
applied to machinery, railings, electrical motors, presses,
shop equipment, shelving, compressors, generators,
bicycles, appliances, ladders, wood furniture, and any
other objects where a smooth, even appearance is
intended.
Directions: Surface must be clean, dry, and free from
dirt, dust, grease, and wax. Mask and protect areas not
to be painted. For best results, use at temperatures
between 60° and 85°F (16° and 29°C). Two light coats
are better than one heavy coat. A second primer coat
may be applied at any time. Top/nish coat should be
applied within 24 hours after primer coat. Wet sanding or
a scuff pad are recommended if surface in not top-coated
within one week of primer coating. Aerosol: Shake can
for at least one minute after rattle of agitator ball is heard,
and intermittently during use. Hold can 6 to 10 inches
from surface to be coated. Press sprayhead rmly while
keeping can in motion. Turn insert part of sprayhead to
adjust spray pattern. After spraying, prepare can for
storage by turning upside down and spraying for 2 to 3
seconds to clear paint in valve. Dry to touch in 10 minutes
and dry to handle in 30 minutes. Top coat anytime. Bulk:
Mix contents well before and intermittently during use.
Thin with acetone if required. Apply with brush, roller, or
most types of conventional spray equipment.
