EPS FOAM/CONCRETE ADHESIVE

I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Description: 8178 EPS Foam/Concrete Adhesive (as
compared to 3M's #78 which is not inverted) is a high-
strength, industrial grade, pressure sensitive, upside
down spray (inverted) adhesive. Provides fast tacking
and extra-strong bonding or laminating of expanded
polystyrene (EPS). The product is exible for adhesion
to smooth or rough substrates and will not damage EPS,
such as pitting or melting. Aervoe 8178 will provide
temporary light-duty performance or give a permanent
bond for heavy-duty applications.
Benets: Formulated to bind both porous and nonporous
surfaces. Quick setup and inverted spray allows for faster
construction times. This industrial formula will resist
UV, heat, and water damage. Created for the user by
providing a stain free product that has a tolerable odor.
Applications: Aervoe EPS Foam/Concrete Adhesive
can be used throughout general industry and con-
struction for bonding EPS to concrete and other EPS
surfaces.
Directions: Test small area to ensure surface compatibility.
Shake can well before use. Spray 8 to 14 inches from
surface and apply a uniform and complete coverage
of adhesive. Avoid adhesive buildup or puddles. For
permanent bonding spray both surfaces and allow 2
minutes for solvent evaporation. Bond together with rm
pressure to entire surface area. For optimal results, use
at 70°F (21°C). Prior to storing can, clear tip by spraying
upright for 3 seconds and wipe off excess material. Wear
gloves to avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, let
adhesive dry then rub off or use 8141 Adhesive Remover
sprayed onto a cloth to remove the adhesive. As this is
a high-strength adhesive, be sure to protect areas from
overspray. Clean over spray with 1645 Roof Tar and
Adhesive Remover.
