ASPHALT ROOF PRIMER

I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Description: Aervoe Asphalt Roof Primer is a quick
drying, asphalt based material designed for priming
surfaces prior to application of hot-mopped or cold applied
asphalt coatings, roof cements and asphalt based roof
and ooring adhesives. High penetrating qualities help
assure a rm, tough bond.
Benets: Excellent adhesion to concrete, wood, felt,
gypsum, plastic, glass and metal. Forms a tough water
proof seal that will trap and encapsulate dust and other
loose particles prior to application of other sealing
materials. The liquid spray creeps into cracks and
crevices, then sets up and bonds to surfaces providing
rust proofing while filling surface pores. Provides a
smooth, even, protective lm with each application. This
ready to use aerosol primer saves time and eliminates
costly cleanup.
Applications: Use on metal edging and flashings,
weathered composition roong, concrete and masonry
surfaces, and gypsum surfaces.
Directions: For maximum adhesion, surface must be
clean, dry and free of grease, rust, scale or any other
loose particles. Shake can well for at least one minute
after agitator ball begins to rattle. Shake can intermittently
during use. Hold can 8 to 10 inches from the surface and
press spray head rmly. Apply with steady, even strokes.
Allow to dry thoroughly before applying roof coatings or
adhesives. Clear spray tip after each use by turning can
upside down and spraying for 2 to 3 seconds.
