General information
The City of Pisa
This city of Pisa, containing one of the worlds most famous landmarks,
the leaning tower of Pisa originated as a Roman settlement. During
times of war, the city acted as an important coastal town. Otherwise
it’s been a vibrant port and merchant center. World War II showed its
ravages on this historic city. However, Italy has spent a lot of time,
money, and resources restoring the City of Pisa to its original state. In
fact, the leaning tower of Pisa is supposed to be stable for the next
couple hundred years.
The Airport
Pisa International Airport is the main airport of the Tuscany region of
Italy. The airport, officially named Galileo Galilei, is a dedication to the
famous scientist who was born in the city. The airport was developed
for the military in the 1930s, and is still used today by the Aeronautica
Militare (Italian Air Force) and is home to 46ª Brigata Aerea Silvio
Angelucci (46th Air Brigade). Although the airport serves as an
important military hub, it is also one of Italy’s busiest civilian airports,
with 4,800,000 passengers in 2015.
Scenery features

ground and up, making it perfect for VFR and overflying in general.

of how they are in real life. The scenery also has a photo real ground
image with a resolution of 30cm/pixel covering the entire ground
