Connected to it is the recently build helipad of the offshore service
station jointly operated by various large energy companies. This is to
serve the offshore wind parks north of Helgoland.
Ölbohrinsel Mittelplate (EM08)
The Mittelpate oil rig is the only German oil rig and is located close to
the coast of Friedrichskoog direct south of Wattenmeer national park.
The helipad is not normally used except in emergencies. You will find
a supply ship that sails from Cuxhaven to the oil rig every day in the
scenery.
Helwin Alpha (EM15)
Helwin as a massive platform that collects AC current from the
surrounding offshore wind farms in the area to DC current to be
transported through a 85 kilometer cable to the mainland. It actually
consists of two connected platforms: Helwin Alpha and Helwin beta,
which are served by one helipad.
Nordsee Ost Transformer Platform(EM16)
This is a collector platform for the Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm
turbines. From here the power is transported through undersea cable
to the Helwin platform.
Meerwind Südost Transformer Platform (EM17)
This is a collector platform for the Meerwind Südost offshore wind
farm turbines. From here the power is transported through undersea
cable to the Helwin platform.
Amrumbank West Transformer Platform (EM18)
This is a collector platform for the Amrumbank West offshore wind
farm turbines. From here the power is transported through undersea
cable to the Helwin platform.

visual airport information and the tower
viewpoint location.
• AF2_EM14.bgl
• AFCAD file for SAR and Offshore maintenance
helipad. Contains non visual airport information
and the tower viewpoint location.
• AF2_EM15.bgl
• AFCAD file for the Helwin offshore platform
helipad. Contains non visual airport information
and the tower viewpoint location.
