The INDEX page basically offers four selectable options:

Indicates that the current CDU controls FMS1
2. AFIS MENU
Not simulated – AFIS stands for AlliedSignal Airborne Flight Information System which established a
data link connection between a ground station and the aircraft to transfer messages, weather data or
such
3. ACFT STATE
Not available on the real aircraft - Opens a menu to select the aircrafts state (like cold & dark, engines
running etc. pp.)
