The airfield has been personally visited several times - this is visible in
the simulator by the many details such as:
• Complex replica of the main hangar with roof construction,
lockers and lighting.
• Farm buildings with original textures, replica of the hill with
stairs and hills
• Weir and shields with bridge
• Church St.Kastulus
• Zolling power station as Alpha 1 approach point to Munich
Airport
• Bridge over the Isar
• In the approach sector to RWY 22 roads, traffic lights, rowing
boats, road traffic and signs
EDMJ Jesenwang
Jesenwang is a very well-known and popular German General
Aviation special airfield and is often approached by sport pilots, but
the field also enjoys a great reputation among pilots due to the very
short runway (408 x 12m!). Nevertheless, Jesenwang is at the top of
the German airfields in terms of approaches, which is based on the
idyllic atmosphere and especially the perfect location between
Munich, Ammersee and the Alps.
The runway alignments are RWY07 and RWY25.
For take-offs on 25 and 07, a detailed take-off distance and weight &
balance calculation is essential - it is actually part of the proper flight
preparation for every take-off! In Jesenwang, however, it is it is
extremely important due to weather, air pressure and weight because
of the adjacent forest at the end of RWY 25.
Jesenwang is 567.2 meters above sea level (1861ft) and is designed
for aircraft with 3 tons MTOW, helicopters up to 5.7 tons MTOW and
ultralights as well as balloons.
Resident is the airfield operator family Walch with its Air Charter, the
flight school Air Munich Aviation, GILWA Luftfahrttechnik, Weiss
Flugelektonik as well as a wonderful airfield restaurant.
A test site for safety training and filming is also next to the airfield.
It is said that anyone who has learned to fly at Jesenwang can actually fly.
