FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS
The flight instruments consist of the Electronic Instrument System (EIS) and several additional
instruments. The EIS has six identical displays and is made up of two subsystems, the Electronics Flight
Instrument System (EFIS) and the Centralized Aircraft Monitor System (ECAM).
ELECTRONIC FLIGHT INSTRUMENT SYSTEM
The EFIS has two displays on each side of the cockpit, Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Navigation Display
(ND). The PFD consists of:
• Aircraft attitude
• Flight director command bars
• Aircraft heading and/or track
• Aircraft altitude both in MSL and AGL
• Aircraft vertical velocity and Vertical path indications
• Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS)
• Indicated airspeed
• Flight Mode Annunciations (FMA)
• ILS information
The ND consists of:
• Range markers
• Flight Plan
• Navigation Aids
• TCAS information
• Position
• Heading
• Speed
