Care&Cleaning
Regular cleaning of the Aeratron Ceiling fan blades and fan motor housing is the only maintenance
that is needed. Due to the self‐balancing design, a large build up of dust on blades may only in
extremecasescreateanimbalance,causing thebladetowobbleduring use.Thisislikely
to bemore
apparentonfanswithaextensionrod.
Regularcleaningofthebladeisrecommendedtopreventdustfrombuildingup.
1. Whencleaningyourfan,onlyuseasoftbrushorlintfreeclothtoavoidscratchingthefinish.
DONOTusewaterwhencleaningyourceiling
fan.Itcoulddamag ethemotororbladesand/or
createthepossibilityofelectricshock.
2. When dusting the blades, you must support the blades to prevent bending‐no pressure
shouldbeappliedtothebladepivot.Aftercleaningtheblades,checktoensurethattheDrive
Shaftisvertical,
otherwisethefanmaywobble.
3. Occasionally, it may be necessary to re‐tighten the fan blades and fan motor housing fixing
screwsto preventanyclicking orhummingsoundsduringoperation.This isespeciallytruein
climateswithbroadtemperatureandhumidityranges.
4. Ifyouexperienceanyflawsin
theoperationofyourfan,pleasecheckthepointsintheTrouble
Shootingsectionbelow.
WARNING:Exceptforitems1and2below,thefollowingrequireaccesstoareasofthefan
whichcarrylethalvoltage.Therearenoothercheckswhichcanbecarriedoutbytheuser.
Apartfromitems1and2,thefollowingmustbecarriedoutbyproperlyqualifiedpersonnel.
Ifthefandoesnotoperateproperly,orturnsonoroffatrandom.
1. Ifapplicable,changethebatteryintheRemoteControlTransmitter(Handset).
2. Theroommaycontainitemswhichobstructtheairflow.
3. Thefanmaybetoosmallforthesizeoftheroom.
4. Resetcodematch(seepage13)
5. Checkthemainandbranchcircuitbreakers
and/orfuses.
6. Checkthewireconnectionstothefan.
Ifthefanisnoisy.
1. ChecktomakesurethatthescrewssecuringtheSuspensionBall,FanMotorHousingandFan
Bladesaretightenedsecurely(seepages9and12).
2. CheckthatallthescrewsintheHangingBracketaretight.
Note:Insomeareas,signalsaresentthroughthepowerlinesbytheelectricitysupplierforthecontrol
ofoffpeakhotwater,streetlightsandsoon.Thesesignalsmaycauseanintermittenthumminginthe
ceilingfan.FiltersareavailableinAustraliaatcustomercost.Itisnotthe
faultoftheceilingfan.
Ifthefanrotatesbutdoesnotcreatemuchairflow

2. Thefanmaybetoosmallforthesizeoftheroom.
