3. Installation of AEM

intake system.

a. When installing the intake system, do not completely tighten the hose clamps or mounting hardware until instructed

to do so.

b. Install the compressor inlet coupler using a

#9456 and #9444 hose clamp; orient as shown.

Plug in the headlight that was unplugged in step

2e.

c. Install the M6 rubber mount in the location

shown.

d. Install the inlet pipe by lowering the front end

into position, then insert the rear end into the

compressor inlet coupler. Guide the pipe’s bracket

into position on the rubber mount and secure with

a M6 nut and washer. Leave the M6 nut loose for

now.

e. Install the larger diameter breather hose to

the inlet pipe and valve cover nipple. Secure the

large breather hose using the stock spring clamps.

Install the smaller diameter breather hose to the

inlet pipe and hard line using the two small hose

clamps supplied with the kit.

Vehicles with Automatic Transmission: Install

the supplied vacuum cap on the inlet pipe’s

smaller nipple.
