Chapter outline
Although you might want to get started immediately with our small conveyor
unit/drive, we would like you to read this chapter first. It provides a summary of
the contents of the operating manual and settles our legal relationship as parties
to a contract.
1.1 About this operating manual
For whom?
This operating manual is intended for the
l
installation technician who unpacks, installs, and commissions the small con-
veyor unit
l
controller engineer who connects the unit to the controller, installs the con-
troller in the cabinet if required, and connects the controller to the AC mains.
All work on the small conveyor unit must be undertaken by qualified personnel (a
trained mechanic, an electrotechnically qualified person according to IEC 364 and
DIN VDE 0105 Part 1, or an electrotechnically trained person acccording to
IEC 364 and DIN VDE 0105 Part 1).
Electrically live components. Risk of electrocution unless the mains is disconnec-
ted. During installation and commissioning, observe the safety notes above!

Some versions of the small conveyor systems are available as a PHARMA version
for the pharmaceutical industry. For use in the pharmaceutical industry, you must
use the version with special sterilizable paintwork, or the PHARMA version "CR".
