Changing the Ribbon Cassette: Change the cassette
when the print becomes faded. Worn ribbons can dam-
age the print head.
1. To remove the old cassette slide the Printhead Car-
riage Assembly to the middle.
2. Hold down the Cutter Blade Cover.
3. Grasp the bottom of the ribbon cassette and pull out.
4. To install the new cassette hold down the Cutter
Blade Cover.
5. Align the grooves at the top of the cassette with the
tabs on the Printhead Carriage Assembly.
6. Pivot the ribbon cassette into the Printhead Car-
riage Assembly until it snaps into place.
7. Tighten the ribbon by turning the knob on the
cassette clockwise.
