DIY Zip Line Platform Instructions
Materials and Tools Needed:
(2) AC2® 6-Step Ground Contact Green Pressure Treated Stringer
(4) 2 x 4 x 8' Ground Contact AC2® Green Pressure Treated Lumber
(Note: This material will be used for all posts and braces.)
(6) AC2® 2 x 12 x 4' Above Ground Green Pressure Treated Stair Tread
(1lb Box) Grip Fast® #9 x 2-1/2" 6-Lobe Drive Tan Premium Exterior
Deck Screw
Drill Level 3lb Sledgehammer
Material Preparation:
1) Decide how wide you would like your platform to be. You can use
the treads at the standard size of 48” long, or cut to a desired length.
The length of the treads will determine the length of the braces.
Braces will need to be cut 2” shorter than the treads.
2) The length of the 4 posts will be determined by the levels of the
ground. One end of each post will need to cut to a point to stake into
the ground. Ensure that the point of each post will be full inserted into
the ground for stability.
