DIY Zip Line Platform Instructions Materials and Tools Needed: (2) AC2® 6-Step Ground Contact Green Pressure Treated Stringer Brace 1 Stringer (4) 2 x 4 x 8' Ground Contact AC2® Green Pressure Treated Lumber (Note: This material will be used for all posts and braces.
Assembly Instructions Brace 1 1) Attach braces to the inside of the stringers using at least 2 deck screws at each connection. Brace 1 and Brace 2 should be installed first. Using the level, ensure that Brace 1 and Brace 2 are level with the ground. Note: The face of Brace 1 should align with your tree as seen in the graphic to the right. Brace 3 2) Once Brace 1 and Brace 2 are leveled with the ground, install Brace 3 using at least 2 deck screws at each connection.
Assembly Instructions (continued) 6) Starting at the top or bottom of the platform, align the treads on each step of the stringer and attach using at least 3 screws per connection. Note: The rounded edge of the stringer should be facing to the outside (away from the tree). 7) Continue attaching the rest of the treads in the same manner until all treads are complete.
