Appendix E GEM 318 Driver Installation

There are 1 or 2 GEM318 chips on SCSI backplane. The chips

are used to detect SCSI HDD failure. Basically, it is a SCSI

device on SCSI channel.

 GEM 318 driver for Windows 2000

1. Double click “My Computer” icon

2. Select “Control Panel” icon

3. Choose “Administrative Tools” icon

4. Choose “Computer Management” icon

5. Choose “Device Manger” icon

6. You can choose the “SDR GEM318 SCSI Processor Device”

by right-clicking your mouse on the file icon, then select

“properties”

7. Choose the “Driver” then select “Update Driver”

8. Please specify the “gem318.inf” file in the driver CD disk

for driver update.
