2.1 Introduction
The AMI BIOS has been customized and integrated into many industrial and embed-
ded motherboards for over a decade. This section describes the BIOS which has
been specifically adapted to the MIC-3392MIL. With the AMI BIOS Setup program,
you can modify BIOS settings and control the special features of the MIC-3392MIL.
The Setup program uses a number of menus for making changes and turning the
special features on or off. This chapter describes the basic navigation of the MIC-
3392MIL setup screens.

The BIOS ROM has a built-in Setup program that allows users to modify the basic
system configuration. These settings are stored in battery-backed up CMOS so they
are retained when the power is turned off.
