5.10 Alert
On the Alert Settings page, you may configure how administrators are notified by cer-
tain system, network, configuration, power, and cellular connection events. Rely on
the events, administrators can collect different options for automatic notification. Mail
refers to send an e-mail to a specified mail address. Trap refers to send an SNMP
Trap. Agent refers to send the SNMP agent setting. SMS refers to send a message
to a specified phone number.
5.10.1 Setting
Mail Alarm
The E-mail Alert settings determine how e-mail warnings are sent for system and
serial port events. You may configure up to 4 e-mail addresses to receive automatic
warnings.
Mail Server: This field is for your mail server's domain name or IP address.
From Mail Address: This is the e-mail address from which automatic e-mail warn-
ings will be sent.
Email Address 1 to 4: This is the e-mail address or addresses to which the auto-
matic e-mail warnings will be sent.
SNMP Alarm
The SNMP Alert settings determine how warnings are sent for system and serial port
events through SNMP.
Trap Server: Use this field to indicate the IP address to use for receiving SNMP
traps.
Trap Version (default = v1): Use this field to select the SNMP trap version.
Trap Community: Use this field to designate the SNMP trap community.
Read Community: Read community name of your agent.
Write community: Write community name of your agent.
Contact: identify the system contact of your agent.
Location: identify the system location of your agent.
