5.4. Protecting the TFT display from the memory effect
The TFT display of the MTC 6 has to be protected from the burning in of a motionless
image. An image that has remained motionless for too long can cause irreversible
damage to the display.
Define in the power management center of the utilized operating system that the
displays of the MTC 6 should be turned off when no user input occurs.
A motionless image can stay on the display for a maximum of 12 hours. After more than
12 hours there is the risk of the memory effect.
5.5. Removing the protective film from the display
The front display of the MTC 6 is protected during transport by a transparent film. This
film should remain on the front display during assembly to avoid damage to the front
display surface.
Only remove the film once all of the assembly work has been completed.
