2.4.2 COM1 Connector

The ARK-3389 provides a D-sub 9-pin connector, which offers one stan-

dard RS-232 serial communication interface port of COM1.

2.4.3 COM2 Connector

The ARK-3389 provides a D-sub 9-pin connector, which offers one RS-

232/422/485 serial communication interface port for COM2. The default

setting of COM1 is RS-232. Please refer to section 3.3 “Jumper Settings”

and Chapter 6 “Full Disassemblly Procedure” to set up RS-422 or RS-

485.

The RS-422/485 mode of COM2 can be supported by replacing the inter-

nal COM 2 cable with the new cable (Part Number of 1700001967), and

adjusting the jumper inside of system. The new cable (pn.1700001967)

has been stored in the accessory box of the product carton.
