Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Introduction
The AIMB-641 is a Socket 478 miniATX SBC (Single Board Com-
put¬er) for high performance and lower power Intel® Pentium® 4/
Cele¬ron® D processors. The AIMB-641, in conjunction with Intel®
852GME chipset, supports processors clocked at up to 3.06GHz, six USB
2.0 com¬patible ports, a PCI Fast or Gigabit Ethernet interface, Hirose
connectors for 2 channel (36bit/48bit) LVDS LCD panel supporting
CRT+LVDS, LVDS+LVDS display combinations, and accommodation
for up to 2GB of ECC DDR RAM memory. The AIMB-641 adopts the
new "miniATX" form factor which can be compatible with EmbATX/
MicroATX mount holes but with a smaller size. Moreover, AIMB-641
has high expansion ability with PCI, CF and miniPCI, it is multi func-
tional and ideal for all general applications.
