In the past, when you were watching a movie late at night
with the volume turned down, the surround effect would
be lost. Not with Whisper-mode Surround. It compensates
for the sound pressure level of the low-frequency
component (which contains the signals that affect the
surround effect), so you’re enveloped in a rich surround
sound even when watching movies at low volume.

The SC-BT105 incorporates original Panasonic technology
that makes it possible for a 5.1-channel speaker system to
accurately reproduce 7.1-channel surround sound. You can
enjoy virtually the same kind of powerful, lifelike sound and
dynamic acoustic presence you get with a 7.1-channel
system, even if you don’t have enough space for eight
speakers.
