Recorder Features: Easy Operation
DIGA Menu Operation

Suppose that while you are watching one TV program
you decide that you want to play a previously
recorded program or set the unit to record a future
broadcast. Simply press the VIERA Link button, and
the TV screen switches to the VIERA Link menu
screen. After selecting the Recorder on the menu
screen, you can set timer recordings or use playback
functions on the fly.
Direct Navigator Operation

If you want to view previously recorded content, after
the DIGA menu appears on the screen, simply select
"Playback". Video thumbnails of recorded content
will then appear on the screen. Select the desired
thumbnail, and playback will commence.
Recording

When you want to program DIGA to record a
broadcast, select "Recording" when the DIGA menu
appears on the screen. You can select the desired
channel and set up the recording schedule easily.
Auto Preset Download

Connect DIGA to your VIERA TV via an HDMI cable, and the channel
setting information is automatically downloaded to the Recorder.
Direct TV Rec.

If you want to record the program you’re watching, you can start
immediately by pressing the VIERA Link button on the VIERA remote
control and selecting “Direct TV Rec.” on the VIERA Link menu
screen.
Pause Live TV

Pause Live TV lets you freeze TV programs just like
pausing a DVD or Blu-ray Disc™, by selecting "Pause
Live TV" on the VIERA Link Menu. The TV program is
temporarily saved on the hard disk drive so you can
watch the rest of the program, right from the stopped
frame, at a later time.
DMR-EX78, DMR-EX88 pause up to 8 hours and then
delete in successive 30 minute lengths. DMR-BW500
and DMR-XW300 pause up to 8 hours and then delete
all content. *HDD Models only
