ADVANCED OPERATION
RESOLUTION
The number of levels available on the RD124 is dependent upon the type of commands used to
control it. The RD124 supports standard code dim/bright commands, standard code preset dim
commands, and extended code commands.
Using standard code dim/bright commands; there are 16 available levels.
Using standard code preset dim commands; there are 32 available levels.
Using extended code commands; there are 64 available levels.
STANDARD CODE DIM/BRIGHT COMMANDS
While the RD124 receives standard dim/bright commands it will dim or brighten to the selected
level as the Dim or Bright button is held, or if commanded, until it is completely off or fully on.
STANDARD CODE PRESET DIM COMMANDS
The advantage of Preset Dim commands are that the RD124 can be commanded to go to a
specific dim level without having to know its current level.
An explanation of Preset Dim commands is needed if the user is going to control the RD124
through Standard Code Preset Dim commands.
Explanation
Just like any other command, before the RD124 will accept a Preset Dim command it has to be
addressed. After the RD124 is addressed, a Preset Dim command can be sent.
A Preset Dim command is composed of a House Code combined with either the Preset Dim 0
command or Preset Dim 1 command. This combination makes up the 32 different levels avail-
able. The 32 House Code/ Preset Dim 0/1 combinations are listed below by level.
To set a RD124 to level 16, J PresetDim0 would be the command.
