Instruction Manual

REMOVING A PRODIGY™ SILENCER
1. Always keep the host firearm pointed in a safe direction.
2. Render the firearm safe by removing the magazine, completely unloading
the firearm and engaging the safety to the “SAFE” position. See the
firearm’s owner’s manual for detailed instructions.
3. Verify the silencer is at ambient temperature. If the silencer is hot, allow it
to cool.
4. Grasp the silencer by the rear gripping surfaces and carefully unscrew the
silencer from the host firearm’s muzzle threads.
WARNING! Never handle a hot silencer without protective gear, as this may
lead to property damage, personal injury and/or death.
CLEANING A PRODIGY™ SILENCER Every 200 Rounds - It is
recommended that users dismount the PRODIGY™ silencer from the host
firearm after every 200 rounds of use and remove the tube from the core
assembly. Frequent removal of the tube from the core assembly will make future
disassembly easier by fracturing lead and carbon fouling that can solder the tube
to the core assembly.
WARNING! Only perform disassembly, cleaning, and maintenance procedures
on silencers that are not mounted to a firearm. Attempting to clean or perform
maintenance on a mounted silencer could lead to property damage, personal
injury and/or death.
1. See “Removing a PRODIGY™ Silencer” in these instructions.
2. While holding the silencer securely by hand over the gripping surfaces at
either end, unscrew the tube from the core assembly. A pair of
PRODIGY™ disassembly tools (AAC Part Number 102928), available
separately, can provide additional leverage and torque for unscrewing the
tube from the core assembly. See Figure 2.
