External Alarm Severity Menu
The External Alarm Severity menu (see Figure 5-40) is used to set customized alarm profiles
for each of the five external alarms.

The External Alarm Severity menu options are shown in Table 5-42.
NOTE
The alarm severity levels are user-defined based on the impact to
customer service.

Option Description Function
1 Critical This option is used to designate a critical alarm.
2 Major This option is used to designate a major alarm.
3 Minor This option is used to designate a minor alarm.
4 Load Shedding This option is used to designate an alarm that shuts
down SHDSL services.
