ppp chap password <password>

Use the ppp chap password command to configure an alternate password when the peer requires CHAP

PPP authentication. Use the no form of this command to remove a configured password. For more

information on PAP and CHAP functionality, see the Technology Review section for the command ppp

authentication <protocol> on page 485.

Syntax Description

Alphanumeric string up to 30 characters in length

Default Values

By default, there is no defined PPP CHAP password.
