3. Change the IP address of the Ethernet interface to 10.10.10.50 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 by

using the ifconfig command. For example:

# ifconfig eth0 10.10.10.50 netmask 255.255.255.0

4. Run the ifconfig command -a option again to make sure the interface address change is effective.
