Panasonic's WV-NF284 is the latest addition to its i-Pro series line of network-based
cameras. With MPEG-4 and JPEG dual streaming, the camera can transmit up to
30 fps in VGA (640x480) in either mode. Using both streams allows for simultaneous
monitoring in MPEG-4 mode while recording high-resolution images in JPEG mode.
The 1/4 in.-type progressive-scan CCD captures moving subjects with minimal
blurring. Additional features include a 3.6x variable-focal lens (2.8 to 10 mm) that
operates in lighting conditions as low as 1.5 lux (0.15 fc). Reliable performance and
easy setup make the WV-NF284 the ideal network camera for schools, banks,
warehouses, malls, mass transit and town security.
