5. Press the Select soft key to choose the output device.

6. Toggle the Tone On/Tone Off soft key.

7. If the tone is heard through the chosen input/output device, the audio test has passed.

8. Select Exit to return to the idle screen.

Keypad Test

The Keypad Test can verify if the keys on the phone are functioning properly. Use the following steps to

test the keypad:

1. Select 2 from the Diagnostics menu.

2. Press any key and verify that the correct name of the key appears in the top left corner of the LCD

display.

3. Press the Exit soft key twice to exit.

4. If a key does not display properly, notify your reseller or contact ADTRAN technical support.

LCD Test

The LCD Test can verify the LCD screen is functioning normally. Use the following steps to test the LCD

screen:

1. Select 3 from the Diagnostics menu.

2. Make a selection from the soft key options shown below:

3. Select the Exit soft key to return to the idle screen.

If no tone is heard, use other combinations of audio tests to determine which device is

malfunctioning. Verify the device is connected properly.

All On Turns on all LCD pixels in the

display area for 5 seconds.

Used to see if any portion of the

LCD is not functioning properly.

Pattern Displays a 4-level gray-scale

pattern for 5 seconds.

Used to view the shading ability of

the LCD screen.

All Off Turns off all LCD pixels in the

display area for 5 seconds.

Used to verify that all areas of the

LCD respond properly.
