5. SETTING THE MINIMUM REQUIRED PARAMETERS
At a minimum, the following parameters must be specified for the IP 700 Series phones to operate on a
network server. The parameters not included in the table can usually be left at their default values.
However, for optimal operation, it is recommended that you review all parameters. For a complete list of
parameters and additional information about these settings, refer to Appendix A on page 57.

(HTTP), HTTP Secure (HTTPS),

(FtpServers, HttpServers,

Specifies either FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, or TFTP
server. If a server is unavailable, the phone
goes through the list until a working server is
found. Either FtpServers, HttpServers,
HttpsServers, or TftpServers may be specified
as the non-null value used to determine the
download method for configuration files.

DNS Server IP Address

This must be configured unless numeric IP
addresses are supplied for all parameters and
fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) are not
used.

Proxy Server
(ProxyServer.z.Address.y)
An IP address, FQDN, or domain name for one
or more proxy servers. If only a proxy domain
name is specified, a Session Initiation Protocol
(SIP) SRV record for the proxy must be
configured in the DNS server and the
ProxyServer.z.Port.y must be set to 0.

Registrar Server
(RegServer.z.Address.y)
An IP address, FQDN, or domain name for one
or more registrar servers. If only a proxy domain
name is specified, a SIP SRV record for the
registrar must be configured in the DNS server
and the RegServer.z.Port.y must be set to 0.

Line Key Configuration
(Button.z.Type, Button.z.Line,
Button.z.Label)
At least one key must be configured as a line
key to make or receive calls.
