Alarm Name Description
Red Alarm Not able to frame data coming to the DS-1 inter-
face; sometimes referred to as out-of-frame (OOF)
Yellow Alarm Remote alarm indicator (RAI) being received by
the DS-1 interface
Blue Alarm Receiving unframed all 1s at the DS-1 interface
[alarm indicator signal (AIS)]
Loss of Signal No signal detected by the DS-1 interface
