E-Lead
The presence of an asterisk indicates the E-L
EAD is being grounded
and the R
X A signal bit is equal to 1.
M-Lead
With Type I and II interfaces, the presence of an asterisk indicates
that -48 volts are applied to the M-L
EAD by the premises equip-
ment. With a Type V interface, the presence of an asterisk indicates
the M-L
EAD is grounded by the premises equipment.
View Signaling Bits (VIEW SIG BITS)

IEW SIG BITS displays the status of the Rx and Tx signaling bits
in the DS-1 stream. Figure 3-4 shows the status of both the A and
B bits.
