Adding video les
DVD MovieFactory allows you to add video les of different formats such as AVI, MPEG, and, WMV into your
video project.
To add a video le to your project:
1. Click Add Video in the Add/Edit Media page to launch the Open Video File dialog box.
2. Locate the video le(s). You can select and add multiple les under the same folder. Press [Ctrl] or
[Shift] to select multiple les.
3. Repeat the above process to add more video les.
Creating a slideshow
Aside from video les, you can also add photo slideshows to your video project.
To create a slideshow:
1. In the Add/Edit Media page, click Add Slideshow.
2. Locate the folder that contains your image les and select those that you want to include in the slideshow.
Use [Ctrl] or [Shift] to select multiple images.
3. Click Add Photo. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more images.
4. Add a slideshow title, background music, and transition effect as
needed. Click Preview to see the result.
5. Click OK after you have nished.
Importing DVD-Video
Import video from your DVD discs and add them to your video projects.
To import DVD video:
1. Click Import DVD Video.
2. Locate the DVD drive that contains the video les. Locate the VIDEO_TS folder for the DVD+R/RW or
DVD-R/RW format or search for the DVD_RTAV folder for DVD-VR les on DVD-RW disc or DVD-RAM disc.
3. Select the video clip you want to import, and then click Finish.
Press [Ctrl] or [Shift] to select multiple videos.
Note: Black video thumbnails that appear in the media clip list
indicate that the rst frame in the video is either white or black.
Setup Preferences, Project Settings and
other options
Setup options for your projects in DVD MovieFactory can be
accessed using the buttons on the lower left corner of the program.
Settings and options
Use the options in this menu to customize the settings for video
playback, save your project, view information about Ulead DVD
MovieFactory, visit the Ulead DVD MovieFactory Web page, and
register your copy of Ulead DVD MovieFactory.
Preferences Select to set the program’s working environment
through the Preferences dialog box. To open the Preferences
dialog box, click Settings and options and select Preferences
or press [F6].

Now DVD Movie Factory will use the DVD Xpress as the selected video capture device.
Select Video settings; video quality and resolution:
1) Click Advanced Settings
2) Select MPEG Settings and the properties dialog box will appear.
3) In this settings box you can select the video source (RCA or S-Video) video bit rate(quality), audio format and
frequency, video resolution, and video format (NTSC, PAL or Secam).
4) Make the settings you desire to t your projects goals and click OK.
Now you are ready to capture video directly into DVD Movie Factory 3 SE.
Click the Capture Video icon to begin capturing video.
Click the Stop Capture button to stop capturing motion video.
Click the Capture image button to grab a snapshot from the video source.
