Web Access NOTE: Before access to the Spider is available over
the Web, a special text message must be sent to the Spider to wake
it up. Refer to Appendix D: Remote Access Configuration and Quick
Start Guide on page 91 for further instructions and information.
After a Spider receives a text message command, it will interpret the
command and act on it. Invalid commands will be ignored. Valid
commands will be acknowledged with a return text message:
Location: OK Text Message command
Where,
“Location” is the programmed Spider location
“Text Message command” is the text message command
Therefore, once again using the programmed example, the
acknowledgement text message will be:
ADS DEMO STP: OK RST AL1
Control activation and deactivation commands may be protected with
a 4-digit PIN. If the PIN is set to “0000”, it is effectively disabled. Any
other 4-digit number will enable the PIN. You can change the PIN at
any time by accessing the Spider either remotely or locally with a
computer and entering the PIN, as described in Setting Location on
page 34.
NOTES:
1. Commands may be in lower case, upper case, or a
combination of both.
