9. Perform the following based on the ring type:
 Overlapping Insert the spreader mechanism screw
completely through the hole at the open end of the ring.
 Non-Overlapping Insert a spreader mechanism screw
through the hole at the left end of the ring so that the end
of the screw extends inside the ring.

10. Place the ring on a flat surface with the spreader mechanism
screw facing up.
