• Only ADS approved sensors (ADS p/n 106186, 106194, and
3754-0001/0002/0003) shall be connected to the ADS Model
5000-IS1.
• Due to the use of aluminum in the chassis of the ADS Model
5000-IS1, use special care when working with the product in
the hazardous area. Avoid any impact with the aluminum parts
(especially by rusted iron) that could produce a spark.
• The only devices that may be connected to the COMM
Connector on the 5000-IS1 are the PC Communication Cable
(ADS p/n 106228) and the Communication Cable (ADS p/n
106227) connecting the monitor to the EMU Communication
Interface (ADS p/n 106226A). Only factory built
communication cables (ADS p/n 106227) shall be used.
• In general, never rub any of the plastic parts (specifically, the
PVC connector potting boots and the velocity sensor housing)
with a dry cloth. This could result in the buildup of dangerous
static charges.
