External power requires a power source running 9 to 36 volts at 1.2
amperes of peak curr ent. AC power must first co me through a
power supply for DC conversion pri or to entering the ExP AC. ADS
rec ommends using a 24-VDC module (ADS, p/n 508293). DC
power can come directly from the power supply, a solar source, or
rechargeable battery to the ExPAC.
Note: ADS offe rs a ver s ion of the TRITON+ (ADS p/n
8000-FST-IM-EP-GL) specifically designed for receiving
external DC power that d o es not include the battery pack.
However, b attery-powered TRITON+ monitors (ADS p/n
8000-FST-IM-GL) may be converted to receive external
power using a special kit availa ble through ADS (p/n
8000-0434-xxx).
Po wer i ng the monitor through an exter nal source is particularly
adva ntageous at a lo cation that requires l ogging an ext ensive
amount of data on a short interval and eliminates the periodic need
for battery replacement and disposal.
