Check the diagnosti c codes on the LED Status window
(using magnet) on the monitor top to verify the IP
address is available. I f it does not di splay initial l y,
activat e t he LED Status window again after a minute or
two. Activati ng the LED Status will res et the modem,
which typicall y enables it to rec onnec t to the m oni tor. If
it still does not display, disconnect the battery pack from
the moni tor for at leas t 1 minute and then reconnect t he
battery pack. Once the LE D i s no longer illuminating,
reactivat e t he di agnostic c odes to verify whether the IP
address is now available.
Relocate t he ant enna (consider a pedest al mount)
Replace the ant enna.
Replace the monitor batt ery pack (when applicable) if it
is reading below the minim um voltage requirement.
Verify the connection t ype is set to Wireless in Qstart.
Try connect i ng t o other wireless units i n the same area
(other wireless monitor si tes). If all connections fail f or
similar IP addres ses and/or none of t he wireles s
connecti ons are successful, t here may be a wireless
network outage in your area. Contact your regional ADS
representati ve f or t hem to investigate a poss i bl e out age.
Delete any leading zeros included before or within the IP
address.
Replace SI M card.
(applies only i f the soft ware provides a “Getting Monit or
Attention” message w hi l e attempting to c ommunicat e)
Try to communicate with the m oni t or through a serial
(direct) connection. If direct communication fails,
remove the monitor from the hazardous area (at least
20 feet away from t he manhole), di sconnect t he battery
pack, wait at least 1 minute, reconnect the batt ery pack,
and then attempt to comm uni cate. I f the monit or s till
will not communicate, replace the 3.3-volt yellow fuse
(when replaceable) on the regulator.
Replace the monitor.
