Some problems that occur will not require a site visit, such as
incorrect equipment identification numbers or other system
parameters the user can re-enter on the local PC. However, some
prob le ms will require a site visit. Whe n this is necessary, inform
the data analyst any time a field crew is en route to a monitor site to
troubleshoot problems so that the analyst can attemp t to collect the
monito r data before they arrive. If the pro blem is a fa ulty monitor
and the analyst cannot collect the data remotely, rep lace the moni tor
and deliver the faulty monitor to the office so the analyst can
attempt to collect the da ta directly. The n, send the monitor to ADS
for repair.

Problem

Causes
PC cl oc k may have been set t o i ncorrect time when the
monitor was activated.
Monitor time zone differenc e f or the PC clock may not
have been set correc tly when the monitor was ac t i vat ed.
Monitor cloc k may be faulty.
Possible
Solutions
Verify the time on t he P C clock and c orrec t if necessary.
Reactivate the monit or to enable the cloc k.
Verify the time zone setti ng of the monit or. Correc t and
reactivat e i f necessary.
Collect the data from the monitor and replace m oni t or i f
defective.
